Who we are
Kings in Christ operates Kings in Christ ShepherdOS, an internal tool used by our volunteer leaders to track follow-up and care for the men of the ministry. This policy explains whatKings in Christ ShepherdOS collects and how it is used.
Information we collect
- Leader account information — name, email address, phone number, and ministry role.
- Mobile number and consent records — if you opt in to text notifications, the mobile number you provide, the date and time of your consent, the exact wording you agreed to, your IP address, and your browser user agent.
- Ministry records — the men assigned to each leader, their contact details, status, attendance dates, check-in history, and any notes leaders record.
- Usage records — an activity log of changes made in the app, for accountability.
How we use information
- To assign follow-up and remind leaders when a check-in is due.
- To send ministry notifications by email and, if you have opted in, by text message.
- To give ministry leadership visibility into care across the ministry.
- To keep a record of consent where the law requires one.
We do not use this information for advertising, and we do not sell it.
Text messaging (SMS)
Text notifications are optional. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message or by unchecking the consent box on your account page, and nothing else about your access to Kings in Christ ShepherdOS changes. Full details are in our SMS Terms.
How information is shared
Information is visible to Kings in Christ leadership and to the leaders responsible for a given person. Beyond that, we share information only with the service providers we use to operate Kings in Christ ShepherdOS, and only so they can provide their service to us:
- Supabase — database and sign-in.
- Vercel — website hosting.
- Resend — delivery of notification email.
- Twilio — delivery of text messages, for leaders who opt in.
- GoHighLevel — the ministry contact system Kings in Christ ShepherdOS syncs from.
These providers act on our instructions and may not use the information for their own marketing. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to protect someone’s safety.
How long we keep information
Ministry records are kept for as long as they are useful to the care of the ministry. Consent records for text messaging are retained for as long as needed to demonstrate compliance with applicable law, including after an opt-out.
Security
Access to Kings in Christ ShepherdOS requires a personal account. Data is stored with row-level access rules so that leaders see only what their role permits, and is transmitted over encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect this information.
Your choices
- Opt out of text messages at any time (reply STOP, or uncheck the box on your account page).
- Ask us to correct information about you.
- Ask us to delete information about you, subject to records we are required to keep.
Children’s privacy
Kings in Christ ShepherdOS is intended for adult ministry leaders and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the effective date above. Material changes affecting text messaging will also be reflected in our SMS Terms.
